Dr. Susumu Kusunoki is Professor and Chairman of Department of Neurology, Kindai University Faculty of Medicine. He graduated from University of Tokyo in 1978. He has been involved in the research on anti-glycolipid antibodies in autoimmune neuropathies, such as anti-GQ1b antibodies in Fisher syndrome. He was Dean of the Kindai University Faculty of Medicine from 2012 to 2104, and Chairman of the Research Committee for neuroimmunological diseases of Japan from 2008 to 2014. He is now President of the Japanese Society for Neuroimmunology, President of Japanese Peripheral Nerve Society, and Trustee and Chair of the Education Committee of Japanese Society of Neurology. He is also Corresponding Fellow of American Neurological Association and Organising Committee member of International Inflammatory Neuropathy Consortium.
