Prof. Nicola Woodroofe BSc, PhD

Professor Woodroofe is Head of the Biomolecular Sciences Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University, UK. She completed a PhD in Biochemistry at London University in 1978. Professor Woodroofe has focused on the pathogenesis of neurological disorders, which have an immune system component, in particular MS, in collaboration with consultant neurologists at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She has published over 90 papers and abstracts and regularly presents her work at national and international conferences. She acts as a peer reviewer/referee for numerous journals and grant awarding bodies.
