Christopher Power is a neurologist and a professor at the University of Alberta and holds the Henri M. Toupin Chair in Neurocognitive Disorders. Dr. Power is a physician-scientist who studies the mechanisms of infectious neuroinflammatory diseases and their treatments including multiple sclerosis (MS), neuroHIV, and more recently, COVID-19. In addition to directing his translational group, the BrainPowerLab, he is also an attending physician in the University of Alberta MS, HIV, and Long COVID Clinics and is the founding Director of the University of Alberta MS Centre. He is an author on over 200 peer-reviewed publications, twenty book chapters and holds multiple grants from CIHR and MS Canada.
